How dumb can we be in Dayton?

Dayton’s pool policy is making waves for all the wrong reasons. Firefighters monopolize public lap lanes for training while taxpayers get sidelined. Despite lifeguard shortages, qualified applicants are turned away and overstaffed pools stay underused. Meanwhile, city leadership prioritizes ad campaigns over youth programs, clean streets, or functioning recreation centers. The irony? Millions spent on flying cars and marketing instead of basic services like open pools, street sweepers, and a safe place for kids to swim. Is this the leadership Dayton deserves?

First: After Esrati.com broke the story of how Kettering Municipal Court Judge Frederick W. Dressel tried to punk us setting up his buddy to be his successor, we started people thinking and now, K. Dayton School Board President Chrisondra Goodwine has issued a cease-and-desist letter to citizen journalist David Esrati, demanding the removal of critical posts from Esrati.com. The letter alleges defamation over claims regarding board dysfunction, questionable financial decisions, and Goodwine’s controversial use of the title “Doctor.” This legal threat follows a chaotic special board meeting on Feb. 25, 2025, which raised concerns over governance failures, the Treasurer’s contract, and school district mismanagement. The dispute underscores the broader crisis in Dayton Public Schools and the looming need for leadership change in the upcoming election.

Dayton’s election process is broken, with absurd signature requirements, low turnout, and a Board of Elections filled with party hacks controlling the outcomes. Ranked-choice voting could streamline the system, eliminating unnecessary primaries and reducing political maneuvering. The Board of Elections’ flawed process raises concerns over fairness, with past races showing statistical anomalies. Without true independent leadership on the City Commission, the people always lose. The only way forward is real electoral reform and breaking the grip of establishment politics.

The Monarchy of Montgomery County bequeaths you this judgeship

Montgomery County politics just pulled another backroom stunt—Kettering Judge Dressel stepped aside, letting his buddy K. George Kordalis slide into an unopposed six-year term. This isn’t new; the system is rigged to protect insiders, from city commission races to lifetime reigns for the county prosecutor and sheriff. The public gets punked while corruption thrives. It’s time to end unopposed elections and eliminate rigged positions that serve the elite, not the people.

The American government must serve the people, not corporate interests. It’s time for bold reforms: universal healthcare, fair banking, responsible corporate governance, and national service that fosters civic responsibility. Neither Democrat nor Republican, these ideas are about restoring trust in government and breaking the grip of the two-party system. If real change is to happen, we must remove money from politics and embrace creative, people-centered leadership.
