Praying for your election. Dayton desperately needs your (uncommon) common sense approach to government.

Okay, did my subscription take? I can’t really tell from this page and got no email confirming. I did get the email with the confirmation link, but nothing after that.

    I’ve started a G+ community:
Need contributions.  Heard Esrati was at the mayor candidates forum last night Oct. 7.  would like to know if it was video taped and a link to it if possible.  anyone is welcome to the G+ community and post pertaining to the mayors race.  i rarely, if ever, delete posts.

David, we need to bring music education back into the Dayton school system!

It looks like this happened years ago. I just came across it. I am very impressed by the fact that you didn’t allow this incident to change your perception of all black youth. I also agree with the fact that our city leaders are failing our youth. When you give children positive and productive things to do, they in turn become positive and productive children. It is also good to know others are doing positive things for our youth(Mr. basketball nets).

    Thank You!

    Thanks Kevin!
This is kind of a misplaced comment thread- since it’s just the subscription page.
    Usually- people comment on posts.

I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog. It keeps me abreast of what is going on in Dayton.

Your father condemned the book wrote THE HOLOCAUST; WHY GOD STOOD ASIDE AND LET IT HAPPEN. I sent him a copy and he condemned it without much detail as to the message of the book, only as to the spelling and mistakes in printing the text. After he did so, I prayed for him to find God and learn of him and his power and status in the universe, which he denied as even existent. I just finished a new book on a religious but non-holocaust topic which I sought to send him a copy and in seeking his e mail address I learned he died last year. I had prayed for him to find God before he died and since without knowing of his death which I learned of today. I never castigated or condemned or even criticized him for his dislike for the book and recognized his right to freedom of speech under the constitution and its contentual recognition and never responded negatively to his comments. I don’t know much about your religious views but hope and pray that you not follow his footsteps into aethiesm. My book is THE VICTORY OF FAITH and is copyrighted and now in the printing stage. In honor of your father, if you are interested in this area of life I would send you a copy.
Please send a US postal mail address.

    Mr. Schapiro,
Thank you for praying for my father. He died an atheist.
I, perhaps, more of one than he.
I found my fathers review of your book on Amazon, and it gave me a chuckle. In 2009, he was fully in control of all his senses, and I’m sure, he meant every word.
As someone who suffered his criticism of my own writing, I can attest that he did make me into a much better writer.
As a future author of a book that’s been in the making for almost 2 years, I wish you the best, but don’t think I’ve got a lot of faith in your skills, based on your comment above.
Thank you for the offer, but, I’ll stick to reading about things that intrigue me and further my understanding of the real world. Cheers.
