Rhine McLin’s campaign finance report

David Esrati |

August 11, 2009, 07:30 PM |

The print quality was so poor, the Board of Elections is asking for a reprint.

Here is the document-the finance report of Dayton incumbent Mayor, Rhine McLin, as a PDF- with un-corrected Optical Character Recognition. You can see that I have hand written in amounts and names and addresses where it’s not very legible (with help from Cathy Merkle at the BOE).

I’ll let you make your own observations on where her money is coming from- but, please share in the comments.

Thanks.

BTW: Why is it my job to provide their reports to the public? Why can’t they do it on their own sites- and more importantly, why can’t the Montgomery County Board of Elections provide this data in a searchable format?

Well its not hard to understand. For years , some of the more questionable residents have made claims of being “into the pockets of several city leaders”. Large political donations are made to mayors , judges, and other “helpful” figures. These donations are made through the “more reputable” people/businesses representing their interests…….
And if its not broken …dont fix it(right???) until 2009
    Details anyone????
