A plea to “God Almighty”

It says it on our money “In God We Trust.”

Please God, save us from the un(S)election of the ages.

You can’t join the military after age 42 (Coast Guard only).

You can’t serve as a Judge in Ohio after 70.

You can’t legally own a gun if you are a convicted felon in most States. In some States you can’t even vote as one.

We have rules and restrictions on all kinds of jobs in this country. But thanks to assumptions made by the “founding fathers” (who by the way were a mix of white men, sort of self-selected, who got a lot of things right- but some very wrong) the American public is faced with a choice of two unpalatable choices for president, commander and chief, and if you take the “Supreme Court’s” latest decision to it’s fullest extent, King in the making.

In the Army, we always said, that when you “assume” you make an “ass” out of “U” and “Me.” In this election, the assumption that the people running for president would be of high moral character, upstanding citizens, best our nation has to offer, in the model of Washington, Jefferson, Adams… has gone out the window, by no fault of the American people- but, the king makers, the monied class, that has bought and sold our government thanks to another “Supreme Court” decision- “Citizen’s United.”

To listen to Joe Biden you’d think he thinks he’s the chosen one, anointed by “God Almighty” to lead us against Beelzebub. He believes he is the only one who can win against Trump, no matter what the polls say. He thinks he can ignore Mother Nature and Father Time, the pollsters line, and the voters collective whine.

We can blame Congress, also bought by people behind the curtain, who failed to impeach Trump out of office twice, failed to try him for treason on Jan 6, 2021 in time for this next election, and who continue to ignore the fact that Trump has said everything and anything to disrespect them, this country and our laws. Do we really think that a man who says:

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?” Trump remarked at a campaign stop at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. “It’s, like, incredible.”

But, Biden isn’t exactly a choir boy either. He ignores the fact that his drug addicted, slime ball of a son, Hunter Biden, accepted at least a million dollars from the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings, because they thought he was brilliant? Or, because it was a way to buy influence from his dad?

If Biden was trying to hold a top secret security clearance from the base, things like this would be a big NO GO for you- do not pass go, do not collect $200. The fact that Biden has been in politics since 1970 and is now worth around $10M, one has to wonder- and he was considered the poorest man in Congress for a time.

The “Supreme Court” is a disaster. First they claim it should be up to the individual states to decide a woman’s right to an abortion, but when Colorado tried to decide if a man who told a group intent to hang the vice president to march on the White House could be on the ballot- the Supreme’s stepped in and said “oh no you don’t.” This hypocrisy, the fact that a man who is ineligible, thanks to his 31 Felony convictions, to own a gun, could be our next Commander in Chief. This is beyond insanity. And before you say that his convictions were political, ignoring the trial, the jury of his peers, and a ton of evidence, let’s not forget this is a man who has had 3 wives, cheated on all of them, declared bankruptcy more times than most people have children, talked about grabbing women in the pu$$y, and the list goes on. Is this truly the best we can do?

The questions about Biden’s mental capacity should be cause to invoke the 25th amendment and remove him from office. Is this the man you want with the nuclear codes? “I’m was the ‘first Black woman’ to serve as vice-president with a Black president’, during an interview with Philadelphia’s WURD radio station. Enough with the excuses, did he mean blow up Russia, or blow out the candles on his birthday cake? Time to retire Joe.

If the biggest worry is about the campaign money, the Democratic party is as out of touch with reality as their current candidate for President.

Any number of Democratic leaders could have destroyed Trump in the debate, but instead we had “sleepy Joe” shoving a samurai sword into his gut and twisting it repeatedly as he stumbled though.

Job 1 for the Democrats right now is to come up with a team that can and will effectively work to undo the damage of the MAGA minions and the questionable Supreme Court. It may be time to have a bi-partisan ticket for the Dems- (it actually was this way in 1796). Pick Gretchen Whitmer or Pete Buttigieg or any number of others- for President and Adam Kinzinger (an AF officer, who served admirably on the House Committee to investigate Jan 6) for VP. It’s time to come together and save our nation from the insanity of Trump.

Benjamin Franklin defined our government as “A Republic, if you can keep it.” Right now, for the sake of all Americans, God Almighty if you’re listening, or if you care, give us a sign- a new slate to lead this country forward.
