Is it still Pecha Kucha night without free beer?
Well, you can find out. PK Dayton is hosting Volume 24, Thursday, Aug. 20th at 7:30 p.m. at the Engineers Club on Monument in Downtown Dayton. Parking is free. Admission is free. But, unfortunately, since the Engineers have their own liquor license, it’s a cash bar.
But don’t worry- you’ll still have a chance to listen to people see what they can say in 400 seconds with 20 slides- shuffled along exactly every 20 seconds.
These events are always fun, interesting and unpredictable. I know at least half the presenters (as is almost always the case) and you’ll find them absolutely fascinating.
And what’s best, unlike a trip to the City Commission- the event is interactive and heckling, cheering, applause and laughing is encouraged.
The art for this poster is by South Park resident artist Cathy Mong, who will paint your pet for a ridiculously low price (by appointment, not at the event).
This fun event is run by three residents of South Park, Matt Sauer, Jill Davis and Shayna McConville, proving once again that all the cool kids live near me.
Hope to see you there.
