Yik Yak, Tik Tok, Y’all Stop

And now for something totally different:

There once was an app
Named yik yak
It was only for college kids
And it got a bad rap
Not for stealing data
Or being run by spies
But because the kids
Told so many lies
Yik yak went away and is hardly missed
Like til tok will get forgotten in the digital abyss
Where ya all are slaves to the digital masters
Who are laughing their asses off
As if what you think matters.
All that counts is dollars in their pockets
While they’re building big space rockets.
Our days are numbered while the planet burns
You won’t even know if I wrote this
Could be AI rhyming these words.
You’ll live without Tik Tok, and Facebook and even email,
Because sooner than later, if you raise your voice you may be in jail.
The real issues escape us,
We’ve let algorithms divide us.
