The Expensive Election Tuesday that you should vote in

Vote like your life depended on it

The costs of the Aug 2nd primary should be born by the folks on the state redistricting commission that failed- 6x, to comply with the State Supreme Court- the Republicans.

Strangely enough, the only choices you get to make unless there are local options- is for contested primaries for state senate and state rep- and there aren’t many of those, or for the State Democratic Party.

For Member of State Central Committee, Man (6th District) and For Member of State Central Committee, Woman. (6th District) The state party isn’t quite up to speed yet with diversity and inclusion- with their genders- having left off all LBGTQIA folks to have an option as well. But, it really doesn’t matter, because, “The Party” is really a private club dedicated to keeping friends and family elected.

Your choices in Montgomery County are for Man: Former Montgomery County Dem Party Chair Mark Owens or the mystery man Patrick Scott Thomasson. I can’t find anything about him online- but, would vote for anyone but Mark Owens after Owens let the party send out hit pieces against Shenise Turner Sloss and Darryl Fairchild.

For Woman- we have the honorable and affable, Montgomery County Commissioner Carolyn Rice vs former Dayton Mayor and current gubernatorial candidate Nan Whaley. Regular readers know I’ve filed a FOIA case to get the tapes of Nan that were played to the Grand Jury in the “Culture of Corruption” investigation and am still waiting for my day in court. The choice is clear- Carolyn by a landslide I hope.

I’ll have a post up about the shambles of the Montgomery County Democratic Party meeting later today.

Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.

Be counted.

And again- this election should have been held with my primary in May. Thank a Republican for a very expensive, mostly meaningless extra election.
