It’s time to re-introduce democracy to the democratic party

The cure for the Democratic Party- if it's not too late

Denial is not a good political strategy. The professed “party of the people” got their butts handed to them in the 2024 election. If you wonder why I put 2024 in the last sentence, it’s because a long time from now, as the party still flounders, they may need to remember which epic loss I’m talking about. I’m sure there will be more, unless some billionaires read this, and decide it’s the right move to save our country- and the democratic party (if we even ever have elections again).

First and foremost, the “primaries” you’ve been having are a joke. By the time we get to vote in Ohio, we don’t get any choices. It’s time to do away with the wasteful and time and money consuming multiple primaries. If you are going to allow the people to truly choose the candidate for president, pick a single day, and figure out a way to hold a one day ranked choice primary, where the first choice of the people is the presidential choice and the runner up the VP candidate.

This idea of allowing candidates to pick their successor is a really undemocratic process- and obviously, the last two candidates haven’t picked well. Also, allowing the establishment party insiders pick candidates in back rooms doesn’t work either. I should know, in 2022 I won a four-way primary to be the Democratic candidate for Congress in OH-10, and the republican’s got to send out a mailer that said “So bad his own party won’t endorse him” – gee, thanks. So much for being the choice of the people.

This time around, the party met in Columbus and backed Amy Cox, a carpetbagger who lives outside the district. Even with party support, she got her ass kicked just as bad, despite raising 4x the money- with zero to show for it.

I had 38.3% of the vote on $40K and no support. Amy had 39.1% with about $181K and party endorsement, and Harris won the biggest county in her district.

If you want to see an example of the kind of cringey campaign video she did:

Amy Cox, Endorsed dem for OH-10 2024

This is what I put out for the primary, on a shoestring:

Esrati for Congress, OH-10 2024

My video does what the Democratic party failed to do in this election, draw a clear picture of reforming our bureaucracy to serve us. It’s really not that difficult.

Foul mouth Amy talks about herself, complains about politics, without really talking about what we need to do.

The candidate in 2020, Desiree Tims, raised and spent over $2M (almost twice what Turner spent- and in a more R district at the time). She was a DC insider/pro and she didn’t do a whole lot better, 41.6% of the vote.

Tims talked about herself, talked about the issues without specific answers, and was also a stranger to the community, having flown in from DC.

The reality is, the only person living in this district that’s going to beat Turner is either a rich republican who’s mad, or comedian Dave Chappelle (who’s also rich- but has better name recognition- and will never be accused of supporting the trans agenda). I played spades with Chappelle one night at a friends house- and almost had him convinced to run against Turner. His final words to me were, “I can’t do it, I’d have to work with 434 idiots for 2 years.” Yes, that’s an obstacle as well.

Record amounts of money were spent in the 2024 cycle on advertising- my profession, that wouldn’t even work as advertising if it was selling something real (we have laws that require truth in advertising- unless it’s politicians). What could $16B have bought? I’m pretty sure it could have been a great start at fixing homelessness, or national health care, but instead, we had to watch dreck and lies about one of the most impressive candidates I’ve seen in my 30+ years of running for office.

If you want to know what’s wrong with politics, it’s that someone as wonderful as Rose Lounsbury steps up to run. She’s a former teacher, a mother of triplets (via IVF) and was running in a district against a career politician, Andrea White. Their district has been redrawn 3x in 6 years- just to make sure Andrea keeps winning. In 2022, young Addison Caruso came within 400 votes of beating White with only $40K, White had 10x that amount. If you need to know how morally bankrupt White is, watch this ad she and her party ran against Rose:

Andrea White’s version of leadership via lies

Ads, candidate forums, and the League of Women’s Voters guides are not even close to providing the kind of info voters need to research the people that they are giving their power to. On a local shops Facebook page the question was asked [1]:

Why do you vote the way you vote?
What are the top three issues that influence the way you cast your ballot?

My response:

I vote in the hope that we elect people who understand that government is of the people, for the people. Not their donors, not corporations, and not for their own benefit.

Top 3 evaluation stances:

  • Integrity- as proven through a lifetime of honorable service.
  • Knowledge of the issues- and can clearly define what their role will be in solving key issues.
  • Who do I believe will work for “The greater good”- because, this is about all of us- not just for the “winner” or for their “backers”
  • It’s highly unlikely in our system of government that anyone we elect can make a difference in the price of groceries, immigration, gun control, prison reform, health care- but- if they can do the above- they may have a chance to work with other like minded folks to actually accomplish something.

The founding fathers never imagined a country of 350M people and how we’d pull elections off. They didn’t foresee mass media, social media, or even voting for people who were of low moral character. Back in their days of “representative democracy” people actually knew the candidates by their deeds, actions and reputation and vouched for them. They had real debates where the candidates asked each other questions, instead of moderators throwing softballs and asking for soundbites. The system of informing voters is bankrupt. What we now have is more like an auction, not an election. (And of course, I have a website for that too- www.electionsnotauctions.com [2])

We’re going to have to consider funding the fourth estate, the news media, like they have in other countries like England with the BBC- to fill in the gaps of credible news coverage. Without oversight, we’re going to continue to discover that our government isn’t working for us, but for itself. I’ve also advocated for a public ombudsman to take the side of the people [3] in enforcing the laws.

In Dayton Ohio, the Democratic party took a whupping on their candidates too. The biggest victory was for the County Treasurer, John McManus who was a dem who switched to the R’s after the party didn’t support him at all in his run for the district that preceded White’s current one. He was the incumbent and his challenger was the chair of the Dem party. A position he should resign from. This little twerp has had the nerve to tell me I wasn’t a member of the party or eligible to speak in the meetings, even after winning the primary in 2022.

We need to establish that party meetings aren’t about bureaucracy, or back room dealing, or appointing friends and family to patronage positions, but to organize, educate and develop leaders to win elections. To have systems in place, ready to support the candidates who volunteer to be smeared and embarrassed by the party of rude children with all the money in the world.

It’s too much to ask candidates to have to set up bank accounts, get employer ID numbers, build websites, design logos and produce campaign literature, create videos, organize people, master campaign databases and still try to make a living while running for office. ALL OF THIS, should be the parties job. This is what real candidate support looks like and should be in place, year round, to support candidates and campaigns. Instead, we reinvent the wheel, every fricking cycle.

Party meetings should map out sign locations, have precinct captains that have organized their precincts and a team of volunteers to get signatures, or to deliver campaign material, or to talk to voters. They should be about educating the people who come about our ideals, our values, what works, what doesn’t. More like what two former Brits, Tim and Alison Benford do at the South Dayton Democratic Club [4] which is a positive, friendly, welcoming group. They even have an entire intro to what the Democratic Party is supposed to stand for, and have been working to spread the word across the state. See their site www.dems101.org [5]

But, the party needs to do more than just provide infrastructure and funding support for candidates. It needs to dig in and stand for something.

Had Harris said from the get-go that “I’m not Joe Biden, I’m Kamala Harris, and I see a new version of America where” and then listed policies like this:

It’s time to fix our broken, expensive and inefficient health care system right now. We need health care, not health insurance. We need it to be universal, affordable and to provide better outcomes. For those of you who don’t believe that government can do this, we already run the largest health care system in the country, working with people with some of the most complicated medical problems- and do an OK job- it’s called the VA, and while it may have problems- every hospital system in the country has problems, we’ve just got a larger target on our backs, since we spend our money on providing health care, not advertising how we’re the best place to treat cancer. The number one cause of personal bankruptcy in this country is getting seriously ill. That doesn’t happen in other countries and we’re not going to let it happen here. Starting on day one, we’re going to level the playing field for small businesses in this country- and allow them to buy into Medicare for their employees, and start retraining all the insurance company gatekeepers to actually provide health care instead of rationing it. In 10 years, we’ll have the best health care system in the world. Because, I know that healthy people can work, and pay taxes, and sleep easier when they are taken care of proactively (which is cheaper) instead of re-actively as they are now.

I also know that drug addiction is a medical condition, and by providing care and support, instead of declaring war on drugs, we can stop the flow of drugs from South America here- and change the conditions South of the Border. The number one way to kill the cartels, is to close up their markets for their deadly drugs.

The United States Government is the largest purchaser of goods and services in the country. I don’t believe that putting tariffs on goods from China is a good solution. I think we should stop doing business with companies that pay their CEO’s more than 20x they pay their employees, in ANY country. Tim Cook at Apple, Elon Musk at Tesla, Jeff Bezo’s at Amazon, and all the rest of you- you want our tax dollars, you’re going to learn to live in a way where you only get rich if your employees do too. I played Monopoly as a kid, and I know what happens when one person owns all the property- the game ends. I’m re-writing the rules.

Esrati, 2022 campaign

It’s also time to do away with Citizens United. We’re going back to elections, not auctions. The interference of the billionaire class in this election is offensive. No, you don’t get to purchase your elected officials- so you can set policies. I know that bailing out the banks in 2009 was wrong, and the fact that the same people who bet the farm and lost- got to keep their farms and grow them, while the American people paid for it with their homes and savings. We don’t collect taxes to support your 2 comma incomes. From now on, all tax dollars invested in “economic development” come with public ownership. No, you don’t get to buy your stocks back, that money goes to the shareholders, and if you need tax breaks to succeed, it’s going to be treated like any other investment- we the people, get stock.

It’s also time to make sure our politicians aren’t bought by the wealthy. You’ve complained so much about voter registration and fraud, we’re now going to require donor registration and real time reporting. We’re taking the game out of political capital and adding total transparency. If you want to donate more than $200 to anyone, you’re registered. If you want to donate more than $2500 in a year, you’re listing every contract you have with the government- and all of your employees- who will also be tracked for donating. We’ve got the best tech minds in the country- we can develop this system by the next election cycle. It’s more important than flying to the moon, do you hear me Mr. Musk?

When it comes to kids, we’re going to make some changes. They are our future. We’re going to stop the use of social media by anyone under the age of 14. In order to get on social media, you’ll have to take a test that shows you know how to use it- and not be fooled by the kinds of BS that take place in online social spaces. And, btw- if you want to use it as an adult, you will get paid by those companies that want to track you and advertise to you. You will not stay digital sharecroppers in my country while a few folks make billions. We’re also going to start providing universal child care, 24/7/365 for free. Yes, we need safe, positive care for our children. When you ask how, it’s simple, we’re going to require 18 months of public service by every kid who graduates high school- either through military service, public service- including working to care for kid and seniors. Then, trade, technical or higher ed will be paid for, by us, because we know that investing in American’s is never a bad idea. The better educated, the better trained, the better prepared we are, the better we can deliver on our promise to make America great, for everyone.

While raising the minimum wage sounds great, we’ve seen a shift to automation to cut out low pay starter jobs like working the register at McDonalds (hence Trump’s fry making experience in PA is farce). We need immediate, real ways to support people and put more money in their pockets. Starting on day one, it’s time to reel in the banks (the ones we bailed out) and put caps on credit card interest of 18% across the board. If you think we can’t do that, you’re wrong, we’ve already done that to Credit Unions for years.

It’s also to stop government from arbitrarily changing the value on your home, penalizing you for fixing it up. From now on, we’re going to treat your biggest investment, your primary residence the same way we treat the billionaires primary investments, the value is only set when you buy and sell. We’re not going to allow gentrification to tax you out of your home anymore.

And speaking of the billionaires biggest investments, we’ve been making billionaires the wrong way since 2000, with an increase from 200 to over 1000. We’re going to stop allowing anyone but the founders of a company ever continue to profit off the backs of their workers the way they have. No more stock awards, no more buybacks, and we’re going to end the churn on Wall Street and turn it back into a serious investment option, not a casino game.

Investment means putting money into a firm that the firm can grow with, not trading stock where milliseconds count. If you don’t hold the stock more than a year, all gains are taxed at 95%. Volatility in markets is part of what got us into this mess. For our businesses to thrive, they need it.

The sad part is we’ve even monetized war. When the people that build bombs and planes, also buy our politicians, we’ve got a serious conflict of interest. Used to be the production of weapons of war was a government function- not a business model. We have actually incentivized conflict. So, a few rules, no one who works in the military industrial complex is allowed to donate to politicians in any way, shape or form. The other part is, thanks to mandatory government service for a year, if you’re in office, and you want to send American troops anywhere, your kids and your grandkids will have to enlist to serve and bone spurs is no longer an exclusion.

We spend way too much money on defense, and are too willing to go to war. The size of our standing military is unnecessary and expensive, especially when we deploy them all across the world. From now on, we’re not going to deploy our troops to foreign countries unless we’ve also been invited to deploy an equal sized force of humanitarian aide forces. We need to put strength through peace a chance. Adding guns to poverty as we have in so many places just creates a need for more guns and killing. Solving poverty, lawlessness, and providing medical care works as well over there as it could over here. We just have our priorities mixed up. As I’ve always said, true national health care is national security.

Speaking of security, we kill more American’s here every three months than we lost in 20 years of war in the Middle East. Our kids shouldn’t have to live in fear of active shooters at school, and we shouldn’t have to be scarred by shootings in places from grocery stores to movie theaters. I have a complete policy position on gun control here: www.electesrati.com/guncontrol [6] This madness has to stop.

And lastly, we need to address climate change, the environment, our food supply, how we get to work, and how we transport goods and services in this country. One of the biggest scams perpetrated on us was the idea that trains are bad and cars are good. That we had to be automobile/highway dependent. We’ve burned more carbon in the last century than our poor planet can handle, and for what? To move our goods and people more inefficiently. We’re the laggards in the world on both high speed trains and public transit. We’ve encouraged sprawl. We’ve made choices that were good for the big three and bad for you an me. It’s time to reverse that. Public transit needs to be free. We need to encourage efficient transportation and learn how to rebuild our inner cities, instead of paving over farmland. We’re going to see in the next four years how the drought of 2024 is going to raise our food costs even more no matter who is in the White House. We’re going to see how allowing family farms get sucked into corporate price gouging hurts us. We’ve decimated the diversity in supplying our foods- and traded honorable work for parking lots and more traffic. We ship our goods with semi’s- instead of on rails, and burn millions more fuel to deliver the same pounds of packages. We’ve built the most inefficient system known to man, and it’s killing us, and you’re not even aware. One of the first things we’re going to implement is a walk to work tax credit- giving tax breaks to both employers and employees who live within walking distance of their work (a mile). Stop building computer chip plants and electric battery plants in cow pastures and corn fields- we can’t eat those chips – and we end up playing to support the infrastructure for far longer than the life of the plant.

Unfortunately, for us, for the party, and for the world, because billionaires own our politicians, we dumb this down to “I believe in the opportunity economy” whatever that is.

I know this post was long, and many of you said, TL/DR, but not all big ideas fit on a napkin. Fixing our country isn’t an ad campaign, it’s actually a plan of action that people can get behind. The crazy thing is, this could work for both parties, and even a third party, but we’re all at the mercy of the billionaires.

There’s a serious tech stack that needs to be built to make all this happen- from providing real time registered donation tracking, to tools for government at all levels to hold transparent open meetings, to organizing tools to provide the backend for campaigns so that we can make it easier for smart people to run and win. I set up a 501c3 non-profit, The Modern Policy Institute [7] a few years back to help serve as a conduit to make this happen, but so far, the only funding has been my own, and I’m not a billionaire. Sadly, the future of our democracy is dependent on billionaires now, because they are truly the only ones left who have the freedom to live a life in pursuit of life, liberty and happiness without the fears most of us have. And, while fear is a powerful motivating emotion, it’s not the one that should be dominant in politics ever.

That’s why I embrace the suck of Donald Trump, and look at it as the turning point in the American experiment. Are we going to use political judo to make sure that his dystopian vision of mass deportations, loyalty oaths, and strong man tactics don’t destroy the imperfect mess we’ve allowed our government to become? Well, that depends on who reads this, and who it resonates with. Either I’ll be embraced, and we’ll move forward, or I’ll be the next Alexei Nalvany, writing from a gulag.

Hello David- I will encourage all of the readers to organize and withhold your vote from the Democratic Party going forward unless they reform. If they do another song and dance, snuff out progressives and real reforms and shove another corporate ghoul down our throats- do not vote for them.

Let’s be adamant about it now, warn the Dem party, promise the Dem party, guarantee the Dem party will lose again in 2026 and 2028 unless they do major reforms.

Remember this energy now everyone- do not get caught saying “But Trump” again in 2028 and blindly cast your vote for lesser of 2 evils.

We need a movement now on the grassroots level that will guarantee and promise a Democratic Party Loss unless reform.

Make it crystal clear with loud voices that a mutiny is taking place on the Left and we are willing to let the ship sink rather then have it steer us safely towards a slow death from corporate/billionaire control any longer.

David I would encourage you to lead that fight and stop blindly endorsing Dem primary winners when they are not good candidates. If you have such problems with Amy Cox why did you endorse her? Stand for something and draw a line in the sand, your revolutionary jive and rhetoric falls short of making any impact when you constantly bow down to the corrupt system and dem party that continually screws you over and the working class.

Melissa

There’s a lot to unpack here, David. Thank you for taking the time to write all of it up! I agree with 99% of it (and some of Michael Harbaugh’s commentary). That said, however, I disagree that the Democratic Party is the underlying problem. America rejected Progressive polarity and shifted Right from 2020 to 2024 – right into the arms of Donald Trump. It’s clear the American citizenry, and both political parties, need to do some serious soul searching going forward. I liked Amy Cox’s message and didn’t find it too objectionable that she said shit twice and ass once. Her language pales in comparison to what is seen and heard on cable, online, social media, and on these blog posts and comments sometimes. What was most important to me was her campaign message and the fact she was willing to run for office. As many candidates know, it take a lot to run for office. Bad candidates and incumbents are as easily elected as good ones. Good governance is hard to come by and good candidates don’t grow on trees. Both must be cultivated and nurtured. It’s amazing to me that the majority of registered voters who did vote on Nov. 5th 2024 pushed the Trump/Vance ticket to the winner’s circle, despite Trump’s criminality and amoral, crude, crass, unchristian personal character. Electing indicted candidates locally (Mike Foley) and convicted felons (Donald Trump) nationally is surely not the way to go and it is very surprising to me that Americans have done so. What would Jesus do? We’ll never know. Criminality, white supremacy, the war on women, and a lot of other sordid things are out of the closet now. Hitler, Putin and Trump were democratically elected by their people, so there’s that. It will be a misery to experience the “suck of Donald Trump” once more as he and his minions pilfer through the panty drawer and pocketbook of Lady Liberty for the next four years. We’ll see pretty fast the new SCOTUS interpretation of presidential immunity and what “rule of law” really means. If the rule of law… Read more »

When we’re done exposing the Democrat party….. there won’t be one LEFT ! Voter fraud, in bed with the cartels, and too many scams to list.

I don’t know about you all, but I’m popping popcorn and enjoying the show !

Trump & Elon Musk LMFAO ! This is going to be awesome. You couldn’t ask for anything better. !

Billy

Democrats have shown over and over they are too stupid to learn from their mistakes.

Melissa

Timmy and Billy, what’s up with your behavior? It seems you have lowered yourselves to just being mean. Perhaps, you should take a lesson from this sweet child who wants everyone to settle their mean. America could benefit, as well.

20 years ago, I remember John Kerry and the Democrats used to put on concerts to raise money because Republicans would out raise them by 2-3 times. You can tell how far behind the democrats are by how many concerts they put on. 20 years and it’s the same thing. Both losses, 2004 and 2024. Celebrity endorsements and concerts was the democrats strategy to raise money/bring in voters. The problem with that is they go to the free concerts and still vote Republican. The democrats have caught up and passed the Republicans in fundraising. I believe Hillary raised close to a billion and lost, Kamala raised a billion and lost.
It’s the messaging. The democrats are not the party of the working class and the Republicans are, that’s the perception of the voters who were part of the democrats coalition that voted for Trump. Trump riding a garbage truck, Trump working at McDonald’s. Kamala partying with billionaire stars/Hollywood. Taylor Swift, Cardi B and Bruce Springsteen had no effect on the election. Even the never Trumpers had no effect like the Cheneys. Kamala’s strategy of hanging out with Hollywood didn’t work. Inflation and the economy was the biggest Issue followed by immigration. The party went too far left and needs to go back to the center, or be center left.
Institutional rot on college campuses will ensure the democrats will go further left until that is corrected. These progressive instructors are breeding hate and nothing has been done about it for decades, hopefully Trump will cut off these colleges and universities of funding and then change can happen to bring the left back to the center where the radical left gets its ideas.

Potter Stewart

So, in the end, the Democratic Party was the THREAT TO DEMOCRACY???

LMFAO!!!

p. s. You are correct.

Tim Hart

Melissa, that’s Rich !

Can’t count how many times You have brought up my arrest at J6….

Tried to explain many times the Democrat party is hijacked by the deep state, which includes big Pharma, big banks, big tech And the military industrial complex, Hollywood & the Main Stream Media aka Fake News !

Now there’s blatant cheating going on in Arizona in a few other states How the hell do more people vote for the governor / senator than the Democratic presidential candidate?

I don’t think we’re any meaner, you’re just in a dark place because you picked a dark candidate that supports dark abortion and dark human trafficking and Dark child mutilation and pilfering from the American people…

Wait till we find out who is all at these Diddy freak off parties & Epstein client list !

LMAO !

Any chance we can get Trump back in office before January 20, 2025? LOL !

Great ideas, David.

Jennifer A.

Seems pretty hypocritical to talk about big $ influence on OUR elections, yet to continue to not talk about Israeli influence in our elections & government.

Especially, when our tax dollars at the city, county, state & federal levels are going to Israel. City Manager Shelley Dickstein just went ahead & reapproved the DRITA (Dayton Regional Israel Trade Alliance) contract, 6 months early, and without letting the Mayor & 4 Commissioners know this, until 2 months after the fact.

The State of Ohio continues to be at the top of the list nationally, with 4 more purchases of Israeli debt bonds since Oct 23. When this not even a sound investment anymore, with their economy tanking.

Yet, Americans are struggling, WE are sending them $ to have free or nearly free healthcare, education & housing.

Israel is the cancer of the world, because of their sick Zionist government. Israelis themselves need liberated from their government. Both the Democrats & Republicans need held responsible for their connections to Israel.

“Pro-Israel political action committee AIPAC has aided 318 Zionist candidates to win so far in the recent US elections. Other PACs and private donors also played significant roles.
At least 318 American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) backed politicians won their seats in the US elections on Tuesday, AIPAC posted on their X/Twitter. AIPAC is a pro-Israel lobbying group that vowed to spend over 100 million dollars this year in the US elections, according to The Guardian.”

Melissa

Tim, I don’t think addressing your factually correct Jan 6 insurrection conviction is being mean. I don’t revel in the failure of others, but I’m not shy to call it out when necessary. Democracy and our way of life is not supported by those who corrupt or commit crimes, no matter who does it.

That includes Trump’s convictions, illegality, and immorality. It is not a good look for the highest of our government officials to be a convicted felon, serial liar, tax cheat, and adulterer, to name a few faults. It’s a shame we couldn’t do better.

It’s clear both political parties have encountered difficulties these last 8-10 years (or 20 years, per Herb). The polarity, extremism, criminality, divisiveness, and shocking campaign finance waste, is clearly not working. I hope we can all put our heads together and work on effective, lasting solutions going forward.

That’s funny, Dave with today’s the highest ever amount of interracial couples ever you come up with some crazy ass excuses lol, of course the RINO’s and a few others are part of the deep state… at least you admit there is one now that’s a step in the right direction. I see you’re using the CIA stupid ass term to try to discourage people from looking into the truth that says tons Dave tons ! You better check out AIPAC when you start looking for the deep state too ! we know where it’s at !

Hey Dave, riddle me this where are the 15,000,000+ voters that voted for Biden 2020 that didn’t show up for Harris? 81 million votes. My ass Harris didn’t even get 67 million. They had to cheat for her to make it look close.

Cheer up Losers !

Well, Melissa, you must just be (deleted by Editor) then and have no memory, because whatever topic Dave post on when I post an opinion you bring up the J6 thing relevant or not, so (deleted by Editor- see rules of site)!

Why do Democrats have no backbone? How come they post on here and won’t put their last name like the rules state? Since we’re all about the rules now, Dave?

Tim Hart – 100% on point about Biden’s 81M votes. He got about 13M more than Hillary & Kamala. Where did those votes come from? Where did they go? Just from a numbers view, this is hard to understand. Even with all the energy behind Trump he got only 75M votes.

Mark my words! Vivek Ramaswamy will be the next governor of Ohio, should he run!

David – Far too long and you should abandon the quest to reform local politics as it was broken by national events. I have asked you before to think bigger than this but you have always ignored my request.
Telling a Dayton story has a merit but you are not focusing on a narrative that will connect with the electorate.
I would make a significant wager that the Dave Chapelle demographic has a perfect correlation to the voters Harris needed to capture. No Venn needed. They understood this at a certain level which is why Tim Walz was chosen.
I posted on Emptywheel my thoughts on the election in response to listening to her and Nicole Sandler’s youtube discussion. I invite you to take a read because Dave Chappelle takes center stage.
All I can say is I told you so as Hannah Nikole Jones to Emptywheel have attacked the greatest social commentator of our age, Please draw a graphic showing Dave on one side of the scale and Oprah. Obama, Beyonce et al on the other.

Greg Hunter

I had returns in for clarity but somehow they do not work…..

Greg, I’m not sure what party you currently relate to (I believe Republican), but Dave Chappelle last voted D in 2008 and is married to a long time D voter. I’m not sure what you are trying to say in this post, but I’m certain you know that David Esrati works to make government more transparent, defeat corruption on both sides of the aisle, and improve civic engagement and social justice with his online blog and activism. He can correct me, if I am wrong.

What I do know is that America “is going to go through some things”, much like what Donald Trump forecast and designed for the US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

Trump 2.0 is Donald Trump’s retribution tour. Don’t take my word for it, though. Much smarter people than me have commented. Here are some words from one of those, who was reared in warm and cheerful Centerville, Montgomery County, Ohio.

Here’s Chappelle on Election Night – still on point.

Love me some retribution tour !

Using Anti Trump & Saturday Night Live YouTube clips = pathetic ! LMFAO !

Melissa

Of course you do, Timmy. It’s quite obvious governance is not the intent in the Trump 2.0 retribution tour. Convicted criminals like you and Trump prefer to watch themselves on TV and in mirrors. I guess it’s too much to ask that you learn from your mistakes.
