Houses of “representatives”? Esrati produces 2nd YouTube spot- priceless

The “House of Representatives” is supposed to represent the general population. The seat is only held 2 years at a time. Perfect for the citizen leader. However, we now have a bunch of millionaire lawyers in the House- and it’s not about to change.

I did a little digging so that residents of Ohio-3 can see what kinds of houses the candidates live in- so they can see who best represents them. Numbers are straight off Montgomery County property records.

Jane Mitakides lives in a 6,446 square foot house, with a value of $716,000- it’s in the “Private Community” called “Country Place” in Centerville.

Michael R. Turner lives in a smaller house, 3,612 square feet, with a value of $457,720. It’s in the gated community of Stone Lake. From what we can tell on the property records- there is no mortgage on this house.

I live in the South Park Historic district in a 1,962 square foot house, with a value of $66,310. I bought the house on Jan 28, 1986 for $14,500. I can assure you, thanks to being a small businessman, it’s mortgaged to the hilt.

The spot is a takeoff on the Mastercard Priceless campaign, it’s been one of the greatest ad campaigns that has stood the test of time.

I hope you enjoy our take on it.

I’ve also made it available as a downloadable podcast version on iTunes or here- so you can take it on your iPod or iPhone and share it with your friends.

No walking
No Biking
No Dog walking Who’d want to live there?

At those property values, the taxes alone would destroy an average workers wage.

Try paying $15,598.18 a year in property taxes.

This was not your best work – keep your eye on the ball and worry less about where people live. Most people appreciate success, and you slam them for it. What does this really have to do with your campaign? Compare and contrast ideas and track records, not houses. Your message is that you are more like the average Daytonian, and if the average Daytonian worries about bigger houses in the suburbs well then they will not get very far in their life. Stick to REAL ISSUES – it will benefit you in the long run. Just a thought.

I agree with you re: steroids in baseball – and BOTH live in #3 – so whatever on that – MAKE A POLITCAL POINT, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT, WHY ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT – and stop showing me houses. I do understand your point, but I need my vote to go to someone who is going to tackle REAL issues, not film the competitions house. Obviously you don’t understand what this voter wants, so there is the irony. You don’t get it – KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL, not petty issues. Just like the steroids deal -WHO CARES! You say it yourself, REAL ISSUES, now act on it. Most people will agree with me on this, so stop filming and start talking about issues, real ones that is……………… ask most anyone.

must of missed it – I was in Florida then New Orleans – keep it real – and keep it on politics and issues – not houses

One of the best points you have made Mr. Esrati. A very good video and although some will view this in Gene’s light this is exactly what the problem with politics here in Uh-merica. Representatives have a complete disconnect with their REAL constituents.

When did REAL = POOR. Are rich people fake? with fake brains and fake hearts and fake jobs? JR is so REAL.

I need someone to work for the rich, like me. btw that is a joke.

How about talking about track records and stuff you have done rather than square footage.

Congratulations David!! Based on your opinion that people should vote for someone in the least expensive house, you get to vote for Mike Huckabee!! Welcome to the right side!! ;)

Although “far-righties” such as Limbaugh would contend that Huckabee is really not a conservative.

Well, execpt for the fact that Kucinich isn’t a Tier-1 candidate (and was scolded on the house floor today), you may be right.

I’m assuming this is him…. (but I’m not very good with that whole internet searching thing)

By the way, I heard that DK has a wife that’s smokin’! Any truth to that? ;)
