Google Maps finally find focus on Dayton

Glad to see that we’ve finally matched resolution with Greene County- although the picture is in the dead of winter and seems overexposed.

Take a look at the Arcade and Courthouse square [1]– and compare to the “visual border” by WPAFB by Route 4 [2].

So now, we can have that 1000 ft view of Dayton we’ve always wanted.

You’d have better, and more recent, images using Live Maps (maps.live.com)…notice that this pic shows my old carriage house with the fresh coat of paint it received in late 2006, while the google image is still pre-paint job!

Winter means you can see the houses through the trees, somewhat. And the resolution is pretty good.

Real Photos from the Streets of Dayton is much more recently updated than Google Maps.
