George Kordalis has an opponent as long as the petitions pass the Montgomery County Board of Elections expert graphologists.
Greene County Domestic Relations Court administrator and magistrate Patricia Campbell [1]filed pulled petitions and should be on the ballot in November. It’s a non-partisan race- and she filed will file as an independent. If you are a registered voter and live in Kettering, Washington Twp or Centerville and want to sign a petition, send an email to [email protected] [2] and someone will bring a petition out to you.
Also, finally, Shenise Turner Sloss sent out an official email that she’s running for Mayor of Dayton [3] to properly challenge Mayor Jeff Mims. She’s running as the anti-establishment candidate. Full disclosure, I do work for Turner-Sloss and wasn’t able to share this info for a long time.
Mims is running with Karen Wick and his aide, Darius Beckham [4], who will have to resign his city sweetheart job to run. Again- nothing is final until the BOE says so.

Don’t know if the Dayton Daily or Cox/WHIO will report this- since they are both being sued by John Stafford, but the publisher of the “Greene County Sentinel News [6]” on Facebook, is closing his 40 year old Jewelry business Staffords Diamonds [7]. While people either seem to love him or hate him, Stafford did win against the Bellbrook schools in court- catching them spending tax dollars on a levy campaign. Unfortunately, nothing changes and the plaintiffs in these cases score a useless win- when the courts refuse to award legal fees or penalties on the criminals.
The Dayton Daily should take the word news off the masthead for the article I read the other day. They published a story “Judge dismisses Brookville couple’s suit against city for razing part of backyard: City says work on property was part of football field maintenance.” [8] And never once did the judges name appear. Again- an indication that they acknowledge we appoint judges for life in this county. It was Judge Angelina Jackson, in case 2024 CV 02336 in case you want to take a look.
I just got back from 10 days in Norway and the UK. I’m still jet lagged. I can tell you we’re way behind on electric trucks- even the double decker buses in London are now electric. @Tim Hart- The reasons for less posts: I was in Europe for 10 days. I wrote an epic post there- that’s not quite ready to post that you will hate. I’ve been working on a major story- which involves thousands of pages of documents, multiple videos, and interviews and public records requests.
I got behind at work- while on vacation- and have been working until 10 almost every night- and the jet lag took a week to get over.
I’ve got a new dog- who’s an old dog- and we’ve been “adjusting.”
It takes at least 3 hours to write most complete posts- with the graphic, song, and writing- and I just haven’t had time.
