I started writing this post last weekend- but, it was taking forever to search and find anything worth sharing about these candidates and their platforms. Since then, a lot has changed.
The Rooster told us that Bill DeMora had dropped out (see video clip below), and then Kim McCarthy posted on her facebook that she was supporting Kathleen Clyde after she’d been promised a seat at the table in the back room. The Rooster was rooting for DeMora- with some not too nice things to say about Clyde, who he claims is Sherrod Brown’s pick.
But back to where I started.
Liz Walters never had a plan. (The Rooster covers her departure in May- and makes predictions of who is up next) David Pepper never had a plan. The ODP has never had a plan, other than to keep the inner circle in power. Forget winning elections. Ignore the voters. Don’t have primaries. Spend money on running the same tired names, play musical chairs, and never ask the hard questions like why did you let the Koch Brothers punk you into submission and let ALEC and Americans For Prosperity run the statehouse for the last quarter plus century. Don’t build a grass roots, tech enabled, well organized political machine, don’t build the campaign finance machine, don’t actually have a plan.
That’s why when every presidential election comes, the candidate has to build a team from scratch and supply a tech stack. Think Obama. That was a machine. The ODP is a rusting dead jalopy.
That last post I wrote, that was TL/DR had a blueprint for what a campaign could be talking about. How Ohio candidates could be talking about making a meaningful change within our state.
But, guess what, if you are a rank and file Dem, or even a member of your county party, you don’t have any say in electing the next ODP chair. That’s done by the ODP State Executive Committee- which are sort of like super delegates that are on the ballot every four years- mostly un-opposed and without any campaigning- elected by the fraction of the party that bothers to vote in Dem primaries- and it’s gender based to boot- as if what sex you were assigned at birth matters how well you can represent your Ohio Senate district. And good luck finding a published list- the ODP state site only lists a few folks as “Leadership”. Again- see my last post about the need for all these positions to be posted. Congrats to whomever is in charge of the Erie County Dems, who have published meaningful info.
But, the Erie County Dems actually have a post listing the 5 potential candidates!
- Kathleen Clyde – Former Ohio House of Representatives; former Portage County Commissioner; 2018 Ohio Secretary of State candidate.
- Bill DeMora – Currently Ohio State Senator representing the Columbus area; currently serves as Senior Consultant and Parliamentarian for the Ohio Democratic Party; former Executive Director of the Ohio Democratic Party; former Executive Director of the Ohio League of Conservation Voters; serves as the Ohio Democratic Party’s Convention and Delegate Director; has led numrous statewide and national political campaigns at municipal, statewide and national office; former campaign manager for several statewide and legislative candidates.
- Kyle Herman – Currently Stow City Council member At-Large; former writer for a president and a mayor.
- Kim McCarthy – Currently Green County Democratic Party Chair; 2018 and 2020 candidate for Ohio House of Representatives.
- Tamie Wilson – 2018 and 2020 candidate for U.S. House of Representatives against incumbent Jim Jordan

Now, can I find websites with platforms for each of these folks?
Kathleen Clyde- https://kathleenclyde.com/ says “Website expired” She has a Facebook page– with the last post in 2022.
She has a wikipedia page. It’s kinda dated.
But, ooh, wait, she has an account on Elon Musk’s social site- X- https://x.com/KathleenClyde where she shares who backs her.
The X AI- Grok, says the following:
Kathleen Clyde, a passionate Ohio advocate and former candidate for State Representative, fights for fair redistricting and women’s reproductive rights with unwavering commitment.
She’s rallying Ohio Dems, championing voting rights, and eyeing the ODP Chair to boost the party’s fight for working families
The X community praises
@KathleenClyde for her voting rights advocacy and leadership, endorsing her for Ohio Democratic Party Chair.
Congress and our state legislature have the power to put an end to copay accumulator programs and lower prescription drug costs. Learn more about this important issue:

Wow. Can I find a position paper? Her plan for Ohio? This is the tech savvy leader I want to vote for (if I could vote for her). I found this document- JPG’s of it- screen grabs. Not something a blind person or a search engine could read. She mentions something in her previous “Letter” that sounds interesting- but where do I find that?
For those of you who don’t want to read an embedded PDF- or want the shorthand version- I asked ChatGPT to summarize (this also presents searchable info- something the ODP needs to understand)
Kathleen Clyde’s Vision for Ohio Democratic Party Chair – Summary
In her candidacy letter, Kathleen Clyde lays out a clear, action-focused plan to rebuild and revitalize the Ohio Democratic Party through strategic organizing, renewed trust, bold messaging, and serious fundraising.
Key Priorities:
- Tailored Organizing by Region
Clyde proposes separate strategies for urban, suburban, and rural counties, treating county parties as organizing hubs. She calls for frontloaded resources, regional steering committees, and tailored messaging that empowers local leaders and builds year-round infrastructure.- Rebuilding Trust with Black Voters
She criticizes the party’s history of transactional engagement with Black voters and commits to investing earlier in the cycle with Black-led messaging, vendors, and partnerships. Clyde promises to build on research initiated under Chair Liz Walters and to convert insights into real programming.- Messaging and Media Leadership
Clyde wants to build a digital-first media machine that unifies Democratic messaging across the state—both to promote shared policy goals and to aggressively call out MAGA extremism and billionaire-backed corruption (naming Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy). She emphasizes alignment across traditional, digital, and independent media.- Aggressive Fundraising and Infrastructure
A proven fundraiser who raised over $4 million in her own campaigns, Clyde promises a full-time, undistracted focus on raising the resources needed to win in 2026. She highlights deep ties to labor, national donors, and the grassroots, and emphasizes her success as a Biden campaign co-chair and DNC “rising star.”The Bottom Line:
Clyde positions herself as a battle-tested candidate, organizer, and fundraiser who’s offering not just slogans, but a plan—one based on direct input from party leaders and a track record of hard-won experience. She promises to listen, lead, and fight to build the party Ohioans deserve.
Here’s Sherrod Brown endorsing her on X.
Bill DeMora. I already know I have limited use for Bill DeMora, after he visited the Montgomery County Dem Party meeting when we had our last election for Party Chair- and gave wrong advice. That’s the one where he said only precinct captains could run for chair- or even speak. I looked into him a bit then- and found nothing good.
Well, he has a website. https://demoraforohio.com/
I have to thank Stow City Councilman Kyle Herman who posted this Rank The Vote Ohio video where DeMora basically inserts his foot in his mouth so far it comes out his ass.
I don’t know how much time I need to spend researching this idiot, because from what the rumors are, he’s the leading candidate, because, well, you know, the Democrats in Ohio wouldn’t know what to do with a gift horse if they had one.
He’s also on Musk’s X- calling himself “Ohio State Senator – OH25 Fierce Democrat, Die hard fanatic Buckeye, Italian, lover of good wine and bourbon! Loyal friend and hard worker”
He has a sparse Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_DeMora
Supposedly, he has- or works for, a company called “Strategies Unlimited” that does political consulting- but, there doesn’t seem to be a website. It is listed on his Linkedin profile. Can’t find a platform, a plan, yeah, sure, we’re supposed to believe you have a plan?
Apparently, this video- as posted by Kyle Herman, was the death stroke to DeMora’s campaign.
Kyle Herman, who pointed out DeMora’s antiquated views on race and gender, is also running. I was hoping for better, but the first link I found was a FB post of his backing Kim McCarthy. Obviously, he doesn’t do his homework either. He’s on Musk’s X- https://x.com/KyleHermanOhio
Ohhh, he has a website! https://www.hermanforstow.com/ and there’s a link to his overly long Substack of why he’s running for party chair: https://kylehermanohio.substack.com/p/why-im-running-for-ohio-democratic Of course, once I saw a photo of him with Nan Whaley- Dayton’s former corrupt Mayor who is in the FBI witness protection program, I lost a lot of respect for Kyle. He has a second page on Substack that’s supposedly his plan: https://kylehermanohio.substack.com/p/we-need-all-hands-on-deck-to-save I don’t have time to read all of this (pro-tip, don’t write really long things in white type on dark background), but I thought I’d let ChatGPT summarize it for you:
Kyle Herman, a city councilman from Stow and longtime democracy advocate, is running for Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) Chair to rebuild the party from the ground up and reclaim Ohio from entrenched corruption and right-wing extremism. Drawing from a career in civic education, international democracy work, and grassroots organizing, Herman argues that Ohio Democrats need to lead a broad, pro-democracy coalition that puts people over party and focuses on systemic reform to restore trust in government.
Key themes of his candidacy include:
- Anti-Corruption & Structural Reform: Herman believes the ODP must fight Ohio’s culture of corruption with bold policies like ranked-choice voting, campaign finance reform, fair redistricting, and open primaries to empower voters and dismantle elite control.
- Grassroots Empowerment: He champions decentralized leadership, year-round local organizing, and professional development for county chairs to move away from top-down politics and build lasting, community-rooted power.
- Big Tent Strategy: His “Forward Democrat” approach seeks to unite independents, reformers, and disillusioned voters under shared democratic values, rather than rigid partisan orthodoxy.
- Experience and Integrity: With a background working in Congress, the White House, Beirut, Iraq, and civil society organizations like NDI, Herman says he brings real-world experience and a people-first ethic—unlike establishment insiders who perpetuate a broken system.
- Urgency for 2026: He views 2026 as a make-or-break moment to flip Ohio and help save national democracy, warning that Republicans’ manipulation of tribalism and dark money threatens democratic norms unless Democrats mount a principled, organized resistance.
In contrast to establishment figures or “Blue MAGA” imitators, Herman positions himself as an honest, principled reformer who will lead with courage and collaboration to restore faith in democracy—starting with democratizing the Democratic Party itself.
“If we can democratize the Ohio Democratic Party, we can democratize Ohio. And if we can save Ohio, we can save America.”
I don’t see real concrete plans on how he’s going to do this, nor do I see anything that would give voters a real reason to vote Democrat, or a platform for D’s to run. If you are going to lead the D’s- have a D-plan.
But, when I look at Herman vs Clyde, I see Clyde as top down and Herman as bottom up.
Clyde comes across as saying we need to organize smarter, listen better, and raise the money to win. Herman’s gist is we need to democratize the party to liberate Ohio from corruption and autocracy.
Kim McCarthy is the one I probably have the best knowledge of. After Jennifer Selhorst stole a ton of money from me, after my Dad died and I was trying to keep my mother in her home, Kim came in to straighten out the books. I worked with her daily for 6 months. Knowing what I know now, I probably should have hired someone else.
McCarthy has made some strides breathing life in the Greene County Democratic party- but, she’s probably alienated as many people as I have. Her defining battles all seem to be between her and John Stafford, a right wing Republican who hates the Greene Party Republican establishment almost as much as she does- but, she hates Stafford more. I made a mistake of trying to sit the two of the them down together figuring “Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend” and it backfired. As the properly elected Dem candidate to Congress in 2022- she excluded me from speaking to the Greene County Dems 4th of July Picnic. She made it hard for me to talk to the party, and didn’t endorse or put me on a slate card. Because, Kim really doesn’t care about electing Dems anymore than the rest of the party of the Monarchy.
She had a letter- and a withdrawl letter, I have both for you.
Since Kim’s out of the race- not worth adding things in or summarizing at this point.
Tamie Wilson ran for Congress when I did last. She originally was blacklisted by the party like I was, along with guy I split Clark County with, Gary Josephson. Interesting enough, Sherrod Brown’s PAC sent every candidate (even the blacklisted ones- $2K).
I spoke to Tamie, before she got endorsed and after, and felt that besides running against Jim Jordan in an insanely R district, she really didn’t have what it takes to even run an insurgency campaign. I could find very little about her campaign for ODP chair.
An Instagram post:
My Fellow Democrats,
I’m officially announcing my candidacy to become the next Chair of the Ohio Democratic Party.
Why? We are Ohio Democrats, WE ARE THE HEART OF IT ALL! I believe in us. I believe in Ohio. And I believe it’s time for leadership to see the full potential of our party and our state and activate it.
I’m not here to tear anything down. I’m here to build us up.
As someone who ran against Jim Jordan, I’ve seen firsthand how broken our systems can feel, and how resilient our people are. I am a woman and a minority woman, I am a small business owner, a single mom, the granddaughter of a WWII veteran, and a proud Ohioan born in Columbus who spent her childhood summers in rural Ohio, Gallipolis. I understand both urban and rural life because I’ve lived both.
I have worked in corporate America and been a small business owner, a real small business owner, meaning a one-woman show. I have worked 2 jobs while going to college and raising my son. I have family on the spectrum, family with disabilities, and my mother has cancer. I can relate to every Ohioan and just about every Ohioan’s life challenge because I have lived it or I know someone who has. And because of those experiences, I lead with empathy, action, and strategy. I know how to bring people together, uncover what’s not working, and implement real solutions. We need a leader who will be honest about what is not working and why, but more importantly, someone who has what it takes to get the results we need. That’s what I do best, and that is what I will bring to the Ohio Democratic Party.
Ohio is filled with incredible people who care deeply about their families, their communities, and their future. But we all want to know that our voices matter and that our state party is not just fighting for us but is getting results. That’s what I’m here to do.
I’ve already developed a bold, inclusive game plan. I’ve been working on this game plan for 3 years! My vision is simple: I want to bring out everyone’s best so we can bring out Ohio’s best and reclaim our role as the HEART OF AMERICA.
I’m ready to listen. I’m ready to serve. And I’m ready to lead Ohio back to the heart of America.
On X she claims to have a 50 page plan, but doesn’t provide a link.
own hall in Cinci last night. – My run for Chair of the Ohio Democratic Party has been interesting. Unlike my fellow candidates, I have been working on my plan for 4 years. My plan is probably close to 50 pages, at least. I am a relentless strategic thinker. I know what we need to do and how to unite the party, Ohio, and start winning elections. Nobody is presenting the solutions I am presenting which tells me things will keep going as usual if I’m not elected. We are at a crossroads. We cannot just work harder and keep doing MORE of the same and expect different results. It’s time to switch game plans and leaders if we want to win. It’s that simple. Some of the decision makers in this race are still operating like it’s business as usual. They’re basing their vote on relationships vs someone new who has a winning game plan, strategy, experience, and energy to revitalize the party, flip the state, and start winning again. We’ll see…
Now, if the ODP cared one iota about appearing like a true Democratic Party, you’d be able to find all the info you want and need to weigh in on this position- so you could lobby your state committee delegates, but no. That’s not how they roll.
It’s the same kind of arrogance that happens every presidential primary, where by the time Ohio gets to vote, the choice has been made for us by podunk states like Iowa and New Hampshire. Or, like how Harris ended up our choice against Trump with no primary. We’ll never know what the will of the people would have been.
I posted an April Fools joke post after Liz Walters spoke to the MCDP and had a few folks fooled. But, it’s really not fooling around stuff. We need a true leader, who can build a party from the ground up to win. It’s never going to happen- but, I would vote for Kyle Herman if it was up to me. BTW- I tried reaching out to Clyde with the platform post- and heard crickets back.
The Coronation is Tuesday.
WYSO had a nice bit on this race this morning 9 June 2025 https://www.wyso.org/2025-06-06/two-candidates-drop-out-of-next-weeks-race-to-succeed-ohio-democratic-party-chair-liz-walters
Song: The Ballad of the Backroom Deal by David Esrati

There’s so much to take in on this one, but I had a few thoughts:
Gerrymandering works for Republicans: Per Tom Suddes – “… The last Democratic presidential nominee to carry Ohio was Barack Obama, in 2012. The last Democrat to win Ohio’s governorship was Ted Strickland, in 2006. … GOP-rigged General Assembly districts mean Republicans have run Ohio’s Senate for 40 consecutive years (beginning in 1985, likely an Ohio record), and run Ohio’s House for 28 of the last 30 years…” Suddes also cites “identity politics” and declining union jobs/membership.
https://www.daytondailynews.com/ideas-voices/suddes-ohio-democratic-party-has-two-concrete-problems/V6ZIK5U6N5A3HIAO7ISQYIMKSU/
Both parties suffer from serious polarity and fractured leadership: Trumpism spread through the Republican National Committee and Party like a “Stage 9” cancer (to use Trump’s term). The party will either die or rise like Lazarus after Trump enters the political graveyard. The Democratic National Committee and Party is in an ageism, sexism, identity, and messaging crisis. The backroom deals will continue or they will cease, but the seniority politics infighting needs to stop. I’ll take a multifaceted, caring, dysfunctional party over a gerrymandered, corrupt, amoral party every day of the week. It’s been my experience that Democrats build up and Republicans tear apart.

Please provide source: Nan Whaley is in the FBI witness protection program?
Melissa, it’s not the jury meandering. I think the people are realizing that the Democrats never follow through. Hell most of them are crooks just like the Republicans the only one worth of shit is Trump ain’t that weird and he’s not even a republican he just had to play the part to hijack the party to get it away from the.RINO’s.
Now we get to watch the results of Biden flooding the country with the illegals all military age men ironically.
Don’t worry, just go to Q post 22 we’ve known this has been coming.
https://x.com/stormtrader7/status/1931738395845304525?s=46&t=Py4415amM1FIuUSVIRaQgA
@Melissa- I’ve spent 4 years- filing hundreds of pages of FOIA requests to get the tapes that were played to the Grand Jury that included Nan Whaley- only to be told she has a right to personal privacy under Glomar. This is in direct conflict with the ruling by RBG in Senate of Puerto Rico vs DOJ. We know the FBI had a warrant and a wiretap on Whaley- it’s been unsealed. 3 Federal judges recused themselves from this case.
If it wasn’t true- Whaley would have sued me long ago.
It’s “gerrymandering”, Tim, not “jury meandering”. Look it up.
It is a fact I don’t like crooks in any political party or in government, so I guess we agree on something.
It’s telling you have no use for Trump now and say he is just a placeholder to take over the RINOS in the Republican party. I wonder if Trump knows that because he seems to like being the boss and holding the purse strings right now. Maybe I am not understanding your meaning, though.
As to your recommendation to read more Q drivel (which I did just for you), this is yet another example of why this whole Q philosophy is not reality and purely online entertainment for the MAGA armchair domestic terror losers. It’s kind of hard to take you seriously to run a real government when you espouse such ridiculousness such as your link and this one I provide here. I wonder what Mr. Stormtrader7 does for his day job…
https://x.com/Stormtrader7/status/1931797304111214777
So, what is it you Q plotters are planning and preparing for now – invasion of a pizza parlor or another federal installation?
I take your points, David, but saying someone is in a federal witness protection plan does not make it so. I was looking for proof of that statement.
I read the FBI wiretap/tracking affidavits in that case, as well as most of the pleadings – they are damning. I don’t doubt you one bit on the grand jury tapes. Yet, those have not seen the light of day (though not for your trying to obtain them through vigorous FOIA attempts). Glomar is used in a lot of ways to hide and skirt the issue.
Patience and persistence are useful qualities to have. It is my belief that all things eventually come out. Humans cannot keep secrets and the public, if sufficiently desirous, eventually learns what is being done in their name by their government. Deep Throat had a real name and it wasn’t Linda Lovelace LOL.
Keep on truckin’
Thanks, Melissa. I’ll tell Siri not sure why she missed that one….
Some people are slow Melissa so they will just have to be shown you can try telling them, but they won’t listen. They think they already know it all, but that makes it better when shit hits the fan cause I don’t know what the hell is going on really you know kinda like yourself.
Yes, you are correct. You don’t understand what I’m talking about. First you say Trump is controlled by Elon now that can’t be true can it? Enjoy the fake little spat.
Just cause you don’t understand something doesn’t mean you have to be such a hater or C U next Tuesday…
By all means feel free to riot in the street and support your illegal aliens that you personally voted twice to let in lol!
Start with the Ohio Democratic Party attorneys who work pro bono, abuse the law and jail protesters, sound familiar, oh and I’m looking to start a class action because of the Ohio Democratic Party violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. I’ve asked to be taken off of their VAN/Votebuilder voter list since 2023 and they refuse to do so. I got texts from the party in December 2024 asking me to run for office locally as a democrat, I’m a Republican, registered since March 2024. The party has already been sued twice, by the same person. The lawsuit is Kung vs Democratic National Committee and the Ohio Dems were sued in 2022 and 2024 by this person. Ohio Democrats break the law from their attorneys to age discrimination in hiring the people who knock doors to get out the vote. The party chased me away with their illegal tactics and racist past( 2021 Dayton City Commission race mailers.) one of the Ohio Dems law firms hired a known antisemite found on Canary Mission website. Start with that first. The Ohio Dems won’t hire me for over a decade but text me asking me to run for office in Dayton, make it make sense!
Dave, it seems your page is dropping post ? Fix it.
Tim, I believe you said this above: “… the only one worth of shit is Trump ain’t that weird and he’s not even a republican he just had to play the part to hijack the party to get it away from the.RINO’s…”. As Herb previously requested, make it make sense.
For the record, you don’t know me and I don’t know you. I am not a “hater” and I have never voted to allow an “illegal alien” to enter the US. I don’t know how you would know that though, even if it were possible. I provide facts for my opinions, which is a far cry from what you provide to back up your statements. People believe in a lot of things, some of which are supported in reality, some are pipe dreams, and some are bald faced lies or entertaining snark. It would be helpful if we could all try to decide how to govern ourselves with some dignity, tact, and decorum without being too wasteful, cruel or criminal.
That said, however, Trump and a lot of his cabinet are unfit for office and are unethical criminals and recovering alcoholics. Those are stone cold facts supported by self admissions and the rule of law. Trump is a vaingloriously weak president and history will prove that to be true. In fact, it has already.
Herb, I don’t know what to say to help you, but I don’t believe you are asking for help here. It sounds like you and the Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) have had a falling out or difference of opinion on employment status when you worked as a volunteer/contractor/employee, but I’m not sure. You should do what you feel is best for your situation. It sounds like you were a formerly registered Democrat and now are registered as a Republican. It also appears you are very unhappy with the ODP. I hope you work it out for yourself. There is life after a middle-aged job loss – other jobs, early retirement, more time with the kids and grands, volunteer work, etc. Good luck to you.
@Tim- I don’t have a “page” I have a website. I’m not sure what you mean by “your page is dropping post ? Fix it.” So I don’t know what to fix. Please explain better. Thanks
Melissa, I never worked for the Ohio Dems but I applied for campaign jobs with Ohio Dems in 2011, 2016, 2018 and 2022 and was never hired. In 2011 I was offered an organizing job verbally and it was rescinded, in 2022 I was offered a job by the Ohio Dems by written offer for a campaign management position and it also was rescinded. From 2008-2022, minus the years 2009-2015, I worked for democrats as a paid Organizer. In 2008 I worked for Obama in Florida and in the 2020 election, I worked for Biden as an Organizer in Pennsylvania. I had 6 cycles as a Field Organizer( entry level) and it got harder and harder to find democrat campaign jobs. It didn’t matter I had experience as an organizer. Younger organizers move into campaign management after 2-3 cycles of field organizing work.
I have compiled a list of every organizer/organization that interviewed me since 2016 and I plan to write a book on it soon. I’m 59 years old, younger than David but much too old to work for Democrats or even in politics as an organizer for Republicans. For Democrats, it’s not just the Ohio Dems, it’s all democrats. Every democrat state party/non profit is the same way. I applied at dozens of democrat non profits like Stand Up Pennsylvania with the same result. It’s not the work I did either, from 2016-2020 election cycles I got campaign jobs every cycle and they check references. 2020 was the best year for me for campaign work. Now I need to find a new career. If you want proof, email me, I’ll show you the proof.
Thank you for clarifying some of that information, Herb. You don’t have to prove a single thing to me nor would I ask for anything from you on a personal level such as this. Only share what you are comfortable talking about in this public forum.
It sounds like you worked directly for political campaign entities/candidates and not the ODP itself. The time period you mention was quite a while, so you clearly did political campaign work for some time. As you probably know by now, the times, candidates, and political work change rapidly. Politics has always been kind of a blood sport and it really is that today.
These days, it’s not unusual for people to work in many fields and have several careers in their lifetime. Cradle to grave employment in one job or field is pretty much nonexistent unless you are self-employed, in a family business, a silver spooner, and the like.
Take some time to reflect on where you have been, where you are today, and where you wish to go in the future. The fork in the road can be one you set yourself on or one you are pushed onto by circumstance. Many of us have been there. It is your labor you are selling, so make it count for you personally. I wish you the best of luck as you work through this.
Nan Whaley !!!!!

Why do so many Democrats support this crap? The hate and ignorance is unbelievable.
Elizabeth, you’re presenting a false premise (not to mention Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA MAGA feed – bias much?). Did the lady in your provided X/TPUSA link show any self-identified Democrats displaying hate and ignorance? I didn’t see it – nor did you.
Trump’s ICE raids are causing chaos because they are not organized or strategic. Some are not even lawful. Trump, Miller, Noem, and Hegseth are drunk on their newfound military power and clearly unfit to serve the American people. Further, they are violating the basic tenets of the US Constitution and the rule of law.
https://bsky.app/profile/onestpress.onestnetwork.com/post/3lrbyqxsf7s2g
Americans of all and no parties are free to exercise their First Amendment rights. Just like the founding of America, it is not always neat and tidy. Of course, we were all colonial immigrants at the time and subjects of the British king. We rejected subjugation then and we summarily reject it now.
PS. What do you know of Nan Whaley? You didn’t say much lol.
Both the Republican and Democrat parties are crooks, senators, and House members and some deep state like the all the president since Regan except Trump. The system is rigged. You have to be either a republican or a Democrat to win an independent cannot win. So Trump hijacked the Republican Party for the win. Trump was asked to run by the US military to take back the United States from the deep state traitors.
Here catch up to what is really happening. https://rumble.com/v4ict2i-q-the-plan-to-save-the-world-all-parts-1-6-joe-m-storm-is-upon-us.html
Dave, I posted on your site here and it disappeared. ?
Tim said: “… So Trump hijacked the Republican Party for the win. Trump was asked to run by the US military to take back the United States from the deep state traitors…” That sounds pretty far fetched and I have an open mind about a lot of things. Did Trump deport Venezuelan born Eduardo Nicholas Alvear Gonzalez, also known as Nick Alvear, “Lion Nick” or the “Capitol Rotunda Doobie Smoker”, on “Smoking with brotunda”? I believe you were right there sitting on a bench smoking in the rotunda on Jan 6, weren’t you, Tim? It seems like Nick Alvear would be someone Trump would kick out of America. Like you, maybe Trump pardoned him instead. “… Gonzalez was born in Venezuela and a year old when he came to the United States. He frequently posts conspiracy-theory videos to YouTube, telling viewers that we may be living in a simulation, that the earth is flat and that the Smithsonian Institution is hiding evidence of giants. He also promotes the QAnon conspiracy theory that elites are operating a Satanic child sex-trafficking cult and sacrificing children. “He’s fallen under the sway of a web of conspiracy theories that is not just bizarre but dangerous,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Bosse said at Gonzalez’s detention hearing in March…” https://www.courthousenews.com/doobie-smoker-of-capitol-rotunda-pleads-guilty-to-jan-6-riot/ Now, you want us to watch a Rumble Q post narrated by Nick Alvear about this series (originally written by a Dutch crop circle researcher named Janet Ossebaard who killed herself a year or so ago while in a manic depressive state after being missing for five weeks). I know you say the storm is coming, Tim, but I deal in reality. What storm? DOGE gutted NOAA, so no help there. (I’m wading through this series & comments – pretty whacked, so far…) You and MAGA elected Trump and now you are dumping him because he isn’t delivering for you because he is part of this Cabal and JFK, JR and Regan (Ronald Reagan?) are part of it? The new Chair of the Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) is Kathleen Clyde.
The Ohio Democratic Party Executive Committee has 151 positions of which there are currently 150 spots filled with committee members from throughout Ohio. Of those 150 committee member positions, apparently only 109 members voted. At the time of voting, only two candidates remained in the running (Kathleen Clyde, Tamie Wilson). Four other candidates initially ran, but dropped out prior to voting (David Brock, Bill DeMora, Kim McCarthy, Kyle Herman). Kathleen Clyde won 108 votes and Tamie Wilson won 1.
Members of the ODP Executive Committee from Montgomery County, Ohio are:
1) Mohamed Al Hamdani (current MCDP Chair & MCBOE member) – Appointed position, Large County Chair.
2) Marcia Knox (union leader) – Appointed position, At Large.
3) Melissa Rodriguez (USAF retired) – Appointed position, At Large.
4) Mark Owens (former MCDP Chair) – Senate District 6.
5) Nan Whaley (former Dayton Mayor) – Senate District 6.
6) David Cox (union leader) – Senate District 5.
7) Leronda Jackson (self-employed) – Senate District 5.
Like the push and pull arguments being made at the national party level between Ken Martin (DNC Chair) and David Hogg (DNC Vice Chair), Ohio’s state party wrestles with the same issues. Some see this as business as usual from hidebound party operatives.

David — Thanks for doing this research. According to Melissa, the ODP Executive Committee has 151 members. When I last checked there were148 members. 66 members of the Committee are elected in Democratic Primaries by rank-and-file Democrats to serve on the ODP Central Committee. The ODP Constitution calls for this Central Committee to transfer all of its authority to the Executive Committee and it is the greatly expanded Executive Committee that chooses leadership. It seems to me that there could be a court case where the ODP Constitution could be ruled as violating the ORC requirement that the elected Central Committee be the “controlling committee.”
This expansion of the Executive Committee means that the Ohio Democratic Party is not governed by a body elected by Ohio’s rank-and-file Democrats. The ODP is governed by an elite group. I’ve got to think that the ODP would a stronger and more successful organization if it was controlled by a truly representative body.
Mike, here is a link to the public facing 2022-2026 Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) Executive Committee member list and 2021 ODP Bylaws. This was the source of my info above.
https://www.ohiodcca.org/who-we-are/ohio-democratic-party/
I hope when you go through it, it will answer some of your questions. As to your legal questions, you’re in luck. Attorneys Mohamed Al-Hamdani and Mark Owens are both present and past county party chairs for the Montgomery County Democratic Party and both are current Ohio Democratic Party Executive Committee members. You can email or call them to ask your questions about legality and political party operations. I’m sure both of them will be completely transparent and forthcoming with answers about the inner workings of both local and state political party matters, especially if you are a registered Democrat.
I believe the Montgomery County Board of Elections and the Ohio Secretary of State have this information on their respective government websites for public viewing. The public can email or call either government office to seek guidance for information for both political parties. It’s very important that citizens know what their government is doing in their name, regardless of political party affiliation, or none. For obvious reasons, political campaigns, and the ensuing legal political entities attached to them nowadays, require even more scrutiny to avoid impropriety and to achieve good governance.
It would be nice if our elected officials were not convicted felons (US President Donald Trump) or no contest criminals out of jail on suspended sentences (Montgomery County, Ohio Clerk of Court Mike Foley).

Melissa — The link you provided shows that the ODP Executive Committee has 66 members elected in Democratic Primaries and it has 84 members that are appointed for a total of 150 members.
My point is that the Ohio Democratic Party is governed by a Committee dominated by appointed members, rather than elected members and this is contrary to the intent of the Ohio Revised Code that calls for political parties to be controlled by individuals directly elected by rank-and-file members of the party, not party insiders.
The ODP is not controlled by rank-and-file Democrats. It is controlled by party insiders. I’m sure that many of these appointed members are like you — sincere, honest, and well meaning — but I don’t think that the ODP can become a strong organization as it is presently structured. To structure a stronger, more relevant and more successful organization I’d like to see the 66 members elected at the next ODP Central Committee assert their authority and, instead of appointing 84 non-elected members to the governing Executive Committee, change the ODP Constitution so that each senatorial districts elects three men and three women for a the governing body of 198 members — all directly elected by rank-and-file Democrats. Those who are now appointed, in order to have a vote of the governing committee, should stand for election in Democratic Primaries.
Mike, I take your points and concur party insiders wield oversized authority that squelch rank and file Democrats just trying to make a difference at the grassroots level. This is not new and is a persistent problem at all three party levels.
The DNC is voting today to replace Co-Vice Chairs David Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta after bitter infighting over the direction of the party. While it’s good and necessary to have party unity with progression, it shouldn’t come to members in the form of a cudgel or choke hold.

Perhaps you could contact new ODP Chair Kathleen Clyde and chat her up. The party also has attorneys at the local and state level you could speak to. You can call Nan Whaley, Mark Owens, or Mohamed Al-Hamdani in your local party, if you think that may help.
It could be we get the Leaders We Deserve. Ohio has little punk House Republican Levi Dean (R-Xenia) trying to dictate our sex lives and procreation:

What we do know is that absolute power corrupts absolutely. The RNC has been afflicted with Trump style corruption at every level, starting with the Tea Party/MAGA/RINO and culminating with the Trumpism we have today. It’s often difficult to remove power mongers from their self-imposed thrones. Trump’s base is angry with his new Iran/Israel war and his deportation of the white Irish. Trump’s extraordinary renditions take place on a daily basis. No one is safe.
Melissa — The Democratic Party historically was structured as a political boss organization — with power held only by a few. The Ohio Revised Code concerning political parties must have been written in the progressive era — I should do the research — and gave control of the political parties in Ohio to rank-and-file members of the party through direct elections.
The 66 elected members of ODP Central Committee give all of the authority granted to it by the ORC as the “controlling committee” to the ODP Executive Committee and it is the 150 member Committee that elects ODP leadership.
The change to the MCDP Constitution I would like to see approved at the 2026 Reorganization Meeting is to follow the ODP example and for the elected MCDP Central Committee to give its authority to elect leadership to the entire membership of the MCDP and for the first direct election of MCDP leadership to take place in 2028 (calling the next election in two years as provided by the ORC). I sent Liz Walters an email asking for her response, but she never acknowledged my email.
Anyway, I’ve got to believe that if the Democratic Party would empower more rank-and-file Democrats in the Democratic Party organization, the party as an organization would be stronger and more successful. I believe a ODP leadership directly elected by the total membership of the ODP would be a stronger and better leader than one chosen by party insiders and an MCDP leadership directly elected also would be a stronger and better leader. I’m wondering — what are your thoughts about this proposal?
Mike, I usually advocate for more direct action in groups/leadership and would do so in this case.
It is unfortunate former ODP Chair Liz Walters ignored your respectful, sourced, and kind email. Perhaps you could resend your email to incoming ODP Chair Kathleen Clyde and see if you get a better reception?
Liz Walters got her ticket punched and has moved on to her new CEO job with Washington, D.C. based TargetSmart, presumably peddling Dem voter files on its digital ad platform. Per the article, “… State parties generate revenue when their voter file is bought and sold, as well as when their voter file data is used on TargetSmart’s ad-buying platform…”. So much for caring about people’s data….
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/06/05/democrats-ad-buy-targetsmart-liz-walters-00389988
It is my opinion that party boss tactics continue – in both parties. Ohio Revised Code Section 3517.03 was a partisan, Republican led, statute that passed in 2014. I don’t know much of the legislative history from then, but most Dems at the time voted against it. Ohio is a gerrymandered state by and for the Republican Party.
I recommend you whip your fellow party members to draft, move, and chaperone a motion for party constitution / bylaws changes as you see fit. Those who can vote will do so. Those who cannot won’t. Some won’t even know that anything ever took place. Good luck to you!
Part of the reason running for office is so expensive is access to voter data- firms like Aristotle and L3 sell the same data to the national, state and local candidates- cycle after cycle- this is where the party should have an advantage- they own their own data- and set their party members up for success.
But- alas- we’ve turned elections into a cottage industry.
No elected official in the history of America can beat Donald Trump in the art of using political campaigns and the Office of the Presidency to hawk cheap Trump branded goods for personal gain. The items don’t even have to be real (crypto) to sell to the rubes who follow him. A sucker is born every minute in Trumpland. The criminal draft dodging felon Donald comes from a long line of cowardly German American huxters. His own grandpa Frederick Trump left Germany to avoid the draft, made a small fortune in Canada selling horse meat in his brothel to gold-digging pikers, returned to Germany with his fortune, only to get kicked out of his German birthplace (not Sweden) for not serving his compulsory military service. If Donald Trump learned he could polish a turd and sell it as fine dark chocolate, I believe he would try it and the Emoluments Clause of the US Constitution be damned. All his family and friends would help him in the graft. https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-financial-disclosure-crypto-merchandise-b2770217.html Ohio has been annexed into Trumpland and that is what the Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) and democracy loving voters are trying to extricate themselves from in the Buckeye State. Apparently, the ODP says we need to get into the “feels” of the people because policy is hard. Let’s see how Trump 2.0 shakes out for Ohio. “… Once considered a swing state, Ohio has shifted increasingly Republican over the last decade, with Trump winning the state decisively in 2016, 2020 and 2024…” Reporter Mary Frances McGowan wrote a piece for cleveland.com covering Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin’s visit to the City Club of Cleveland this past week. At the end of the article was written this: “Note: Artificial intelligence aided in the writing of this story.” Exactly what part of this article was provided by Artificial Intelligence in the writing of this story? And Eugene Carroll just came out in her own book and said that Trump did not rape her.
Tim, federal Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled in August 2023 that the jury verdict showed E. Jean Carroll’s rape allegation was “substantially true”. You can read the ruling linked here and learn about the difference between sexual assault and rape in New York. Ms.Carroll should make arrangements for the Brinks truck delivery. The highly successful No Kings protests are an exemplar of the American people expressing their extreme outrage for the Trump Administration’s horrific acts against people inside the country and her citizens. It is particularly gratifying to see that so many people care about our country, turned out to show support for democracy, and their complete rejection of Trump. I hope it continues until he is expelled from elected office to face sentencing and prison life. It cannot come soon enough, in my opinion.
As for regime change in Iran, we’ve been here before when we invaded Iraq under false pretenses under Republican Prez “W” and his neocons, lying and torturing and kidnapping to black op sites every step of the way. The Iraq invasion was an unmitigated disaster. There were no WMDs, Colin Powell ruined his legacy by lies, Congress voted for war predicated on lies, untold thousands of soldiers and civilians needlessly died, millions of taxpayer dollars were spent, and for what? Campaign liar Trump is fast becoming a warmonger and puppet to Bibi and Putin.
