938 people required 2 mailings

Inspector Gotcha was involved in the board of election mailing.

Despite the fact that it was a Dem primary- they had to mail every household with the notification, in case people wanted to switch parties.

Of course, graphic design is NOT the BOE’s specialty.

Application for Absentee Ballot in 13 July 2010 OH-3 special [1]

The request- with the party affiliation box click to download full size PDF

So- 938 people got their original absentee request returned- and asked to spend another 44 cents to get a ballot. Here is the breakdown:

Since the BOE can’t tell us how many of these made it back a second time-  and the total number of absentee’s requested was 5710, we’re looking at a 16% failure rate. And, BTW- when was the last time there was a Socialist party primary in Montgomery County? 1924?

Compound that with not putting up signs at traditional polling places and you have a very sloppy election process.

Of course, the BOE seems to get a hall pass by most for their actions.

And while some may think this organization is doing all it can- all one has to do is compare websites of Board of Elections in Ohio to realize there are huge differences from County to County- and the Secretary of States office could do a much better job of moving this whole process forward.

I’d love to have a real interview of both Jon Husted and Maryellen O’Shaughnessy [5] to find what their plans are to bring these offices into the 20th century.

I love it, keep on their case David, as without your research on this subject as well as the other denuding things your cover, I wouldn’t know half about the subject matters you investigate, as a practical analytical person, and I want to thank you. I trust I can take the time and tell you my voting experience, at the recent election over at the Dayton Fairgrounds. My wife and I walk in, both going to different stations, with no problem at all with the people that waited on me. After they found my name, and handed me my card, I asked in passing…”Busy I say, with them responding, “not really,” I thought to myself that they was going to have an Easy Money day, then I asked them how many people have been through, when this Drill Sargent woman came storming over and read the poor people at the table Beads, right in front of me no less. Then turned on me informing me in no short order it wasn’t none of my business, and that they will release that information at the end of the day. In essence, she gave me the feeling like I just walked into a bathroom, and faced any un-flushed toilet, in place of  the joy of exercising my right to vote in the U.S. of A..

I guess it is everyone’s vault you lost…..again, except yours.  Your constant complaining and whinning is getting old.  Your a loser and always will be.  How many losses have you experienced??

Maybe you should start with the man in the mirror and face facts…..even you must play by the same rules as everyone else and the rules shouldn’t be customized to your little pea brain.

Enjoy loserville, you will always be there!

I sure am glad you have Mary Smith in your world and not mine, after reading her rant about you,  the only thing came to mind was I wondered if she …? (edited by esrati) David I think you should run for Montgomery County Sheriff, as there is no way he can win after he got his teat caught in a wringer. After all you are honest to the point of telling the truth, and some people just can’t stand the truth.

congratulations on making it to third grade writing

You know, David E, your fan’s third grade writing is an excellent example in support of Larkin’s contention that the only way to become a better writer is to read, read, read.

Put someone in a room and let her write, write, write, and she will never begin to recognize that “vault” is a word related to storage and unrelated to blame. No matter how much she writes, writes, writes, if she doesn’t also read, read, read, she won’t begin to recognize standard spelling and usage (for words such as “whining” or “your” and “you’re”). And until she’s really well read, she’ll never pull off appropriately using a comma to join two independent clauses, instead of just creating comma splices.

And, if she starts to read, read, read, maybe she’ll get a dictionary and realize that “vault” is both a verb and a noun! ;)

Your write tho, David L about people misusing “you’re” and “your”.  It drive’s me crazy!  Then thier’s the people that can’t use “there”, “they’re” and “their” rite either.   In addition, to comma’s, we could probably spend an entire day talking about apostrophe’s as well!  One online forum that I frequent allows the use of “signature files” with each post.  One contributor’s file says something to the effect of “Using an apostrophe doesn’t mean ‘Look out! Here comes an S!'”

I’m sure you realize that all of the incorrect usage above is deliberate, right? ;)

That was “funny” stuff, David! ;)

THANKS!!
