Rock stars, new lunch spots, old scooter stores
Some Wayne Avenue good news-
The South Park Tavern is now open for lunch daily. Same great Pizza Factory pizza- plus some new subs that you can’t get anywhere else. I’ve only tried one so far- but, head on over and check things out.
1301 Wayne Ave.
While we’re talking about the Tavern- from the Historic South Park Website-
South Park neighbor and recording artist Kelley Deal, best known as a member of The Breeders, will be hosting an artist residency at South Park Tavern, with special guests and performances every Tuesday in April! Doors open at 8PM, admission is $5. Appropriate for all ages. As a super-loyal South Parker, Kelley says she wanted to use the residency to really honor the creative spirit of the neighborhood, so in addition to musical performances, she’ll also be hosting Q&As with HSPI’s own Amy Lee, community gardening guru Kasey Henneman, and nationally recognized graphic artist Chris Glass. Also, YOUR chance to write a song with Kelley Deal: the South Park Songwriting Experiment April 19!

And- now that gas is up to $3.79 a gallon (last night on N. Main)- you might want to start talking to Jason at Motoscooto who is back in business. He’s got scooters at all price points. 80 m.p.g. is sounding a lot better now- isn’t it?
It won’t be long before Olive, an urban dive opens at the corner of Wayne and 3rd Street too- so you’ll have another Dayton Original to check out.
Sounds like fun, but, can’t afford the admission, can’t afford the gas, can’t afford a scooter! :-(
Can’t afford a sub, can’t afford a brew either, pityful in Dayton, but we certainly have talent and good folks here!
I’d have sent this question directly to Pizzabill but the South Park Tavern says, “Please Don\’t Contact Us,” on the bottom of their website, so I’ll post here instead:
What are your hours for lunch?
David, Have you tried calling them, go to the White Pages on your Internet; see if they serve imported beer, too!
Who keeps giving me ‘bozo’ scores, LOL. ;-)
