How much does a Mayor or Commissioner make in Dayton OH?

in Dayton Government

The City of Dayton has a City Manager form of government. We pay our City Manager about $150,000 a year. Not great pay, but, a lot better when you compare it to most residents of the city who make about a fifth of that.

The part time jobs of Mayor and Commissioner pay more than what most people in Dayton make in a year full time.

The Mayor made $45,344 the last two years and the commissioners, $37,315.20 each.

Why then, do we seem to place so much emphasis on the Mayor, and not more on the City Manager?

These numbers are from Tom Biedenharn of the City. I couldn’t find them online. Just FYI- from the Commission candidate who wants to keep you informed.
