Hi Ho Ho, the Mayor fell off her throne. Now maybe we can develop some fresh ideas for the former city beautiful. It will take a guy like Leitzel to surround himself with Miami Valley’s talented CEO’S,Marketing communications guru’s and add a pinch of Dayton’s Public relations folks. One last position and the most important, The City Manager, we need a Professional with national credentials and a successful track record in Urban Planning…..Then maybe we can call Dayton the “GEM” again.

Wow, more spilt milk David? Typical though–someone doesn’t agree with your point of view, so off with their heads it is.

What brilliant plans does Leitzel bring to the table by the way? The only thing he could yammer about at the debate was some fantasy he made up about GM and Frigidare and whoever else had written our codes to stifle competition…. What??? It was bad enough he said it once, but he went back to it 4 or 5 times. What the heck are you talking about Gary? How does that have anything to do with the serious issues Dayton is facing? I’m sorry, but the guy doesn’t have a clue.

@Jeff- as soon as it finishes ripping down to Youtube size.

@John- there aren’t very many challengers in the city- the party takes care of that. What manages to squeak through the vetting process (petitions) the paper then tars and feathers.

Are you going to release that video from the SEPB candidates night soon? The DDN editorial board endorsing McLin is very sad and pathetic. The reason why we are in such tough times is partially because the commissioners and mayor have put us in tough times. It is not entirely their fault. IF we had better leadership at this level things would only be half as bad. They only keep looking to the problem to solve the problem. I am sure they would want CHANGE if it was a Republican who was Mayor. The Mayor has no leadership. Real leaders take responsibility for the results of their actions or lack of actions!

Incredible really. Did the Dayton Daily endorse any challenger over an incumbent at any level in the City? As the City struggles as it never has before and the paper’s position is…..”stay the course”?
Remarkable really.
