Thanks Dave for the plug. I think my floorplan design really changed the way the house is lived in. The kitchen was a tiny little cubbyhole area, but I just couldn’t see Brenda being happy stuck back in there like a June Cleaver with no communication to the other areas. Opening up the kitchen the way it is now guarantees she can carry on a conversation with anyone on the first floor, and yet we didn’t actually increase the size of the kitchen itself. We even added two storage tower closets on either side of the seating area. It was a fun project to do, and it took the house from ordinary to unforgettable. Everyone just loves it.
